BUSINESS SITUATION 2010

The Group's Packaging Division derived the benefit from the investments of previous years, and was able to further increase both volumes and market share for its blister film products. Despite negative currency trends, Perlen Packaging improved its earnings result, thanks to substantial productivity enhancements and the synergies exploited between its Müllheim and perlen operations.

The Packaging Division of the CPH Group provides the full range of packaging products from pure PVC monofilms to laminated high-barrier films that are primarily used in the manufacture of blister packs for medicinal products. Perlen Packaging specialises in serving the pharmaceuticals sector, and is the world's third-biggest supplier of laminated films.
